On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Brain Injury Association and the Brain Injury Society of Toronto, we would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU for your support of this joint fundraising event held on May 11,2006. Once again it was a great success raising over $25,000 for the two organizations, and we could not have done it without the overwhelming participation of the sponsors.
One year ago we celebrated the launch of the Brain Injury Society of Toronto. Since then, BIST has accomplished so much in establishing regular monthly meetings that continue to grow in popularity. BIST also serves the community through its telephone support line and email, and is busy developing new support programs such as social events and support groups. In 2006 BIST is planning to launch a website and other communication initiatives.
The Ontario Brain Injury is clearly focused on developing an effective network of community associations throughout the Province through the development of province wide programs that will be available to all the community associations in the network. The announcement of the $266,000.00 funding of the Peer Support Mentoring Program for People with ABI is an indication that the plan is working.
None of these accomplishments could have been achieved without the support of community minded companies like yours.
