Independent artists with disabilities showcase their works of art

We are a proud sponsor of this event hosted by Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCIO) which provides "a much-needed entrepreneurial platform for independent artists with physical disabilities to showcase their work."1

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for this exhibit taking place at the Toronto Botanical Gardens, inside Edwards Gardens. Guests can enjoy refreshments and wine (sponsored by Gluckstein Lawyers) as they wander freely among the diversity of visual artwork on display.

Submissions by independent artists, both amateur and professional, have already been made, and Thursday night will be show time. The artists will showcase original works including paintings in oil, watercolour, and acrylic along with drawings, photography, and works of mixed media. Guests will have up until 6:30 p.m. to vote on their favourite pieces. Judges will present awards and monetary prizes in each category and an overall best piece at the 7:00 p.m. Awards Presentation.

The works will be on sale and art enthusiasts can support and promote the spirit of entrepreneurialism among the artists by purchasing the works for private enjoyment.

Gluckstein Lawyers encourages all to come out, take in the local cultural atmosphere and support creativity among those living with disabilities.
