Gluckstein & Associates LLP invites you to attend a notable one-day workshop with distinguished guest speaker, Patricia Smith, who will take you beyond Compassion Fatigue. She will guide the trauma expert on a unique pathway to personal and professional growth.
Patricia Smith is the founder of the Compassion Fatigue Awareness Project© whose mission is “to promote an awareness and understanding of Compassion Fatigue and its effect on caregivers.” and also the founder of Healthy Caregiving, LLC. She is a certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist with 20 plus years of experience in the industry and has a background in journalism, writing as a freelance journalist.
She has worked tirelessly helping caregivers recognize the importance of self-care and helps teach and mentor those about the issue of compassion fatigue. She has written two training manuals to assist in her teachings:
- Healthy Caregiving: A Guide to Recognizing and Managing Compassion Fatigue: Presenter's Guide Level 1
- Healthy Caregiving: A Guide to Recognizing and Managing Compassion Fatigue: Student Guide Level 1
Patricia has been widely recognized in her field for her writings, and has received the “Excellence in Writing Award” from the National League of American Pen Women. On behalf of the Ronald McDonald House at Standord she received the 2005 “Best Bets” award for the “Healing Arts” program.
