Simona Jellinek
For over 25 years, Simona Jellinek has focused her Toronto personal injury practice almost exclusively on the area of sexual abuse law, advocating for those who need it most. Helping the most vulnerable in our society is very important to her, and she strives to make a positive difference in the lives of her clients. Her longstanding commitment to survivors’ rights, and her work on their behalf, has earned her a reputation as a pioneer in sexual abuse law in Canada. Simona has advocated for better legislation governing sexual abuse and had a hand in eliminating limitation periods for sexual abuse cases in Ontario. Her experience includes representing plaintiffs in the Maple Leaf Gardens sexual abuse cases as well as many cases involving the Crown, Childrens’ Aid Societies, religious institutions, and school boards. She has also represented claimants from Walpole Island First Nations in the Independent Assessment Process for survivors of Indian residential schools. Giving a voice to those who don’t have one has become Simona’s calling.
Erin Ellis
Erin Ellis is an experienced civil litigator with over a decade of experience advocating on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse. She represents plaintiffs from across Canada, demanding acknowledgment and compensation for the harms perpetrated by individuals and facilitated by institutions, including abuse by teachers, coaches, relatives, foster parents, doctors, and clergy. In leveraging her extensive experience and her deep understanding of civil abuse litigation, Erin works with clients to determine and implement the best approach for each individual case. She is passionate about representing survivors, and uses compassion, dedication, and strong advocacy skills to assist her clients. Erin is committed to helping her clients obtain the best possible outcomes, driving forward her record of success.
Ivanna Iwasykiw
Ivanna Iwasykiw is compassionate, practical, and relentless in her advocacy for survivors. She focuses her personal injury practice on representing survivors of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, revenge porn, invasions of privacy, cyberbullying, and institutional abuse. She has broad experience as a litigator focused on human rights, employment, defamation, and invasions of privacy claims, and she leverages this experience in advising clients with complex claims. Ivanna takes a multifaceted approach to helping clients find justice, compensation, and closure. She hopes that in assisting survivors, she can help them find their voices again.
