Ivanna Iwasykiw

Associate

Bio.

Ivanna has been practicing primarily in the areas of sexual abuse personal injury and institutional negligence since 2021. Her practice focuses on representing survivors of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and institutional abuse in the civil courts. Ivanna brings a trauma-informed, intersectional feminist, queer-supportive, and culturally sensitive ethos to her personal injury practice, recognizing that power imbalance comes in all forms, which deepens and complicates the nature and extent of harm suffered from trauma.

Prior to joining Gluckstein Lawyers in 2021, Ivanna graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a double major in Classics and Anthropology, then obtained two J.D.s concurrently from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy Schools of Law. Before focusing her practice, Ivanna articled at a full-service law firm in Cambridge, Ontario then worked as a general litigation lawyer at a law firm in Mississauga, Ontario. Her prior practice included claims arising from Human Rights violations, employment law, defamation, and invasions of privacy. Ivanna’s broad past experiences allow her to advise clients with complex claims and have taught her that there are many ways to get something done, get justice, or help someone find closure.

Ivanna is a compassionate, practical, relentless lawyer, and a fierce advocate. She hopes that in assisting survivors in seeking justice and closure, she can help them find their power again. When not practicing law, Ivanna enjoys traveling, canoeing, hiking, fantasy books, and exploring new foods.
