Bio.

Cynthia Rizzo is an Associate at Gluckstein Lawyers, where her practice focuses primarily on medical negligence and complex personal injury litigation. She represents individuals and families whose lives have been profoundly affected by medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and other acts of negligence, guiding clients through every stage of the litigation process with compassion, diligence, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results.

Cynthia joined Gluckstein Lawyers as an articling student in 2025 and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2026. Throughout her articles, she gained experience in all aspects of plaintiff-side litigation, including legal research, pleadings, discoveries, mediations, and trial preparation, with a particular focus on medical negligence matters.

Prior to attending law school, Cynthia spent several years working in the personal injury field and was licensed as a private investigator in Ontario. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in evidence gathering, witness interviewing, liability investigations, and client advocacy, which continues to inform her approach to litigation.

Cynthia earned her Juris Doctor from Queen's University Faculty of Law, where she participated in the Queen's Prison Law Clinic, advocating on behalf of incarcerated individuals in correctional institutions across Kingston, Ontario. She went on to complete an international exchange at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where her studies emphasized oral advocacy, litigation, and international dispute resolution. In addition, she attended the Queen's Public International Law Program at Bader College in the United Kingdom, focusing on international human rights law.

Prior to law school, Cynthia obtained a Master of Arts in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies from Queen's University.
