In 2002 Helmets on Kids was established by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). This initiative was launched to bring awareness to the importance of children wearing helmets. It has grown into a fantastic project that donates bicycle helmets and promotes education while bringing continued awareness to proper bicycle helmet use. Peel Event Launch In 2008 Helmets on Kids started in the Peel Region, with the purchase of the 500 helmets for children in need in the Peel Region. Helmets on Kids in Peel is possible due to a partnership between various efforts, including; Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Peel Children Safety Village, Peel Regional Police, Peel Public Health and Peel District School Board.

Since the month of June is Brain Injury Awareness Month, Helmets on Kids Peel will be launching helmet awareness with an event on Thursday June 13th at Sir Winston Churchill PS. Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers are proud GOLD sponsors of this event. Halton Event Review As stated on the BIAPH website, On Thursday June 6th, 2013 the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) in conjunction with the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton (BIAPH) held the third Helmets for Kids Campaign in the region at King's Road Public School to bring helmets to kids in need.

Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers long time supporters of Helmets on Kids, believes it is essential to continue awareness for proper bicycle helmet use. Especially in June as it is when children start to enjoy their bicycles more and also since it is Brain Injury Awareness Month.
