TheFirst International Paediatric Acquired Brain InjuryConference (IPBIS) will take place this September 16-18, 2015 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers are excited to participate in this inaugural conference by attending and presenting the Jane Gillett Award, alongside the International Paediatric Brian Injury Society.
The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation stated, "The Dr. Jane Gillett Award is presented annually to an individual or organization for their research to advance the cause of acquired brain injury in Canada." This award strives to honour Dr. Jane Gillett; an outstanding individual, by highlighting her philosophies and unique approach to addressing acquired brain injury.
This year, the 2015 Jane Gillett Award will be presented at IPBIS. Dr. Gillett was at the forefront of brain injury treatment, acting as a paediatric and adult neurologist. As founder and president of the International Paediatric Brain Injury Society, she greatly impacted both the local and international community with her dedication to acquired brain injury research.
We were privileged to work alongside Dr. Gillett and call her a friend. Our firm continuously strives to provide our clients with the highest level of support from the medical community and Dr. Gillett was that individual. She assisted many of our clients and as one of her colleagues stated, "The biggest loss is for the people with acquired brain injury who will never have her care."
Celebrate with Gluckstein in Liverpool
We are delighted to be attending this conference and presenting the Jane Gillett Award. In addition, we will be hosting a hospitality suite to celebrate Dr. Jane Gillett's legacy and in particular her contributions to the field of paediatric acquired brain injury.
