25 Jun 2nd Annual Set 4 Safety Volleyball Tournament Huge Success
Our 2nd annual Set 4 Safety event took place on June 20th.
We had 8 teams participating for a full day of fun and competition while raising funds to help purchase 800 bike helmets for kids who would not otherwise be able to afford them. Our goal with Set 4 Safety is to bring communities together to raise money for the Peel Helmets on Kids program. This program aims to make the streets safer for hundreds of young cyclists through providing safety equipment to children so they can play and just be kids.
We were so excited to see our event grow this year, adding more teams, and raising more money. Our incredible participants spanned 3 volleyball courts and included teams from Peel District School Board, Peel Paramedics, Peel Regional Police, Hamilton Brain Injury Association, Solutions for Living, and our own Gluckstein team.
Congratulations to the winning team, the Peel District School Board who took home the championship trophy and bragging rights!
After such a successful day we cannot wait to do this again next year! Our goal is to add more teams, raise more money and buy even more helmets for kids to help to keep them safe while out riding their bikes and exploring the world around them. We could not have done this without all of the outstanding support from our corporate and community partners and sponsors.
Thank you to everyone for their support and efforts to make this event a reality, and we hope to see you next year at the tournament!
