Lawyers Rock for Lawyers Feed The Hungry!

This is an event that rock enthusiasts will not want to miss! Five lawyer bands and one showcase band from event producer, the League of Rock will be performing. Songs will be a solid tribute to the eras of Rock 'n' Roll, both old and new and will meet everyone's tastes.

John McMillan, event organizer, is in one of the bands himself, aptly named The Loopholes, and Peter Frampton fans will be sorely disappointed if they miss Mr. McMillan's guitar playing!! McMillan has been a volunteer with Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program since his days as an articling student and has organized several fundraising events to raise money for Lawyers Feed the Hungry. He is also a member of League of Rock, which promoted this fantastic idea for a charity concert. "Everyone was very willing to participate in this good cause, and the Law Society was very supportive of the idea from the very beginning".

Lawyer bands, creatively named, include: Hung Jury, Poison Pill, The Loopholes, The Soul Practitioner and Tortious Conduct. The League of Rock showcase band is Motion Denied. Rockin' the Courthouse will take place on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Adelaide Street Courthouse. Rockin' the Courthouse is in aid of the Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program. The program is a year-round meal program that provides hot, healthy community meals to Toronto residents in need. For ticket information and registration, click here.
