Barrie personal injury lawyer Steve Rastin tells Advocatedaily.com that failing to update your will and powers of attorney in the event of marriage, divorce or separation could have unintended consequences. Mr. Rastin references a survey conducted earlier in 2018 which indicated that only 35 per cent of Canadians say their will is up to date. What's even more concerning is that about half of Canadians do not have a will at all.
