Metron Construction – Coroner’s Inquest

Jordan Assaraf,  representing Metron Construction, participated in a four-day Coroner’s Inquest. The inquest was called to investigate the deaths of a scaffolding collapse that killed four men on Christmas Eve 2009. The purpose of the inquest was to review the circumstances of the deaths and determine what could be done to prevent construction site fatalities or injuries in the future.

The five-person jury received a set of 14 proposed recommendations, five submitted jointly by the Ontario Building Trades and Metron Construction, represented by Jordan Assaraf. The core five recommendations focused on bolstering training health and safety representatives on construction projects.

“This tragic incident brought the biggest changes in the construction industry.” said Jordan Assaraf.
